The Career Gateway Program is a new initiative that provides opportunities for the employment and development of members of visible minorities. It seeks to support the achievement of a qualified and diverse civil service that is more reflective of the population being served.

Government departments provide proposals to the Manitoba Civil Service Commission to support a term placement where there will be a recruitment need in the future. Departments then work with the Civil Service Commission to recruit qualified visible minority candidates for identified positions in their organization. Successful candidates are provided with orientation, coaching, training and development in support of career plans. The program is designed to prepare candidates to successfully compete for positions in the Manitoba civil service.

How long will my resume remain active in the inventory?
Resumes are maintained for a period of 6 months. If you continue to be interested in being in the inventory after the 6 month period than you are encouraged to contact the Career Gateway Program Co-ordinator and resubmit your resume.
