The Manitoba population is constantly changing and reflects a mosaic of cultures and perspectives. The Career Gateway Program is a new initiative that provides opportunities for the employment and development of members of visible minorities. It seeks to support the achievement of a qualified and diverse civil service that is more reflective of the population being served.

Our Goal: To increase the number of visible minority group members working for government.

What does the Program offer?

  • Employment opportunities in the Government of Manitoba in a field related to your education and training.
  • Orientation to the government workplace.
  • Training and support in career development.

and an opportunity to …

  • Contribute to the future of Manitoba.
  • Develop your skills and abilities.
  • Learn about government processes and systems as you work.
  • Make a difference to your community.

How does the program work?

Government departments provide proposals to the Manitoba Civil Service Commission to support a term placement where there will be a recruitment need in the future.
