Organization Of The Planning Teams

The planning and communication of all events and activities will be organized by a group of volunteers in government with a mandate to manage and sustain a network of new professionals in the civil service.

We are organized into three planning teams with a core team overseeing and coordinating the efforts in all areas.

CORE TEAM

The CORE Team will provide leadership and a common direction for the three planning teams, and will have the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all activities reflect the mandate and guiding principles of the New Professionals Network.

Objectives for the CORE Team for 2008/09

  • Ensure activities of the various teams are consistent with the guiding principles and mandate of the New Professionals Network.
  • Find ways for the three teams to work as one unit, working cooperatively towards common goals and objectives without duplicating effort.

Objectives for 2008/09 include:

  • Planning and facilitating an annual New Professionals Day for the fall of 2007.
  • Planning a series of Brown Bag Lunch Events.

COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING TEAM

Objectives for 2008/09:

  • Finding effective ways to share information on activities, events, and other news of interest with new professionals across government. (This may be done through newsletters, intranet, email, etc.)
  • Finding ways to encourage knowledge transfer among new professionals.
  • Connecting the NPN to information and other networks. (example: SQP)
