Assiniboine Community College has been providing quality education and training since 1961. The college offers a comprehensive range of programming in four academic schools, including: Agriculture & Environment, Business, Health & Human Services, and Trades & Technology. The college also offers programs through the Manitoba Institute of Culinary Arts.
Students can choose from over thirty certificate and diploma programs. Most programs are one to two years in length. Fifteen programs offer a co-operative education program component; seventeen programs have a field placement, or non-paid work component; and eight apprenticeship programs are offered. The college also offers a wide variety of Continuing Education courses. Assiniboine Community College is responsible for agriculture training for the entire province and it also has the provincial mandate for Practical Nursing training.
The main campus is located in Brandon, with a second campus in Dauphin and additional training centers in Brandon, Winnipeg, Neepawa, Russell, Steinbach and Swan River. ACC’s total annual enrolment -- including full-time, part-time, apprenticeship and continuing education students -- is approximately 9,500. Assiniboine is a leader in distance education, which enables students to complete courses and programs without having to leave their communities.
