Red River College is the largest and most comprehensive institute of applied learning in Manitoba. The college was created in 1938 by an act of the Provincial legislature. The College operates with an annual budget of approximately $125 million, of which approximately 57% is provided by the provincial government.
The main campus is located on a 160-acre site (65 hectares) in the capital city of Winnipeg. With programs and courses offered at the main campus, five regional centres, three additional Winnipeg campuses, and via distance education, Red River College serves an annual student population of more than 32,000 full and part-time students.
The College’s new Princess Street Campus in downtown Winnipeg is home to approximately 200 staff and 2000 students studying modern media, information technology, and business.

The College offers a comprehensive array of traditional full time technical and vocational courses, as well as courses in information technology and business administration.
Through programs like its Contract Training, Technology Solutions for the Workplace, Language Training Centre, and its International Education Office, Red River College develops specialized and immediate training programs, provides required skill and technical transfer, and delivers programs in Manitoba and throughout the world.
RRC has been systematically implementing a multi-year expansion strategy to expand college capacity. The last seven years have seen more than 40 new programs launched, and many existing ones expanded.
