R & D: Industrial Technology Centre (ITC)

The Industrial Technology Centre provides a wide range of advanced technical services to enable companies to improve their products and processes.

ITC clients include companies from various industrial sectors, along with federal, provincial and municipal government departments and agencies. ITC services are provided either on a fee-for-service basis or under an Economic Development Contribution Agreement with the Province of Manitoba. ITC is ISO 9001 registered, Standards Council of Canada accredited and CLAS certified.

ITC offers:

The ITC provides a wide range of technical services in the following categories:

• Technical Information, Library and Advisory Services in many scientific, engineering and industrial and disciplines.

• Engineering:  Equipment Rental, Mechanical Testing, Dimensional Calibration, Dimensional Inspection, Machine/Product Design, Custom Data Acquisition, Noise Measurement and Control, Vibration Measurement and Control

• Lottery Ticket Testing, including security and quality assurance evaluations of instant scratch off and break open lottery tickets, customized research to assist in evaluating new lottery products and technologies, and evaluations of questioned documents.

• Virtual modeling of complex datasets to allow visualization of product designs, architecture, engineering and construction designs, and urban planning, at the ITC’s Virtual Reality Centre.
