The Business Council of Manitoba recognizes the potential in the Aboriginal community and offers financial support and employment opportunities to Manitoba Aboriginal citizens to enable them to attend post-secondary schools in our province. These Manitoba Aboriginal Education Awards are available to anyone of Aboriginal ancestry who is pursuing a post-secondary education in Manitoba. Funds for the awards are provided through equal contributions from each of the three partners: the Province of Manitoba, the Government of Canada, and the Business Council of Manitoba. The deadline for applications is March 15 of each year.

Beginning with the 2005-06 academic year, the Government of Manitoba and the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation will provide bursaries totaling approximately $3 million over the next four years to adult students from low-income backgrounds.

Students and youth can register online for part-time, summer and co-op education jobs with placements occuring in provincial government departments, Special Operating Agencies, Crown corporations and commissions. Winnipeg youth can also apply online for job referrals to the Urban Green Team program through this site.
