Bright Futures Fund

The Manitoba government is investing $1 million in a new Bright Futures fund that will support programs aimed at improving high school graduation rates and increasing access to post-secondary education for disadvantaged and low income students.  The Bright Futures fund will bring community-based organizations and schools together around a common goal: to address many of the key barriers to post-secondary education that are faced by under-represented students.  This joint initiative between the department of Advanced Education and Literacy and the department of Education, Citizenship and Youth is expected to support demonstration projects within the current year.

For more information, see the news release or contact Joanne Zuk at Joanne.Zuk@gov.mb.ca or at (204) 945-5976.
