The Residential Tenancies Amendment Act

 

Certain sections of The Residential Tenancies Amendment Act came into force on June 11, 2009.  These sections relate to:

• The responsibility for maintaining mobile home sites
• The authority for certain matters to be heard by the chief commissioner or a deputy chief commissioner instead of a panel of three commissioners
• The authority for the Residential Tenancies Branch and the Residential Tenancies Commission to correct or amend typographical, numerical and other errors in their orders.

The other provisions in The Residential Tenancies Amendment Act will become law at a later date once the necessary regulations have been completed.
