Manitoba's Legislative Building is, by both tradition and current practice, the most open
and heavily accessed provincial legislative building in Canada, accommodating a wide range of legislative, administrative, business, ceremonial, public and commercial uses. The building is open every day of the year from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. except for Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Beyond the significant use and openness that characterize Manitoba's Legislative
Building, the property also possesses unique attributes that increase public and
commercial interest in the facility beyond the norms experienced in other jurisdictions.
The Manitoba Legislative Building is the second most popular non-admission tourism attraction in the province. In recent years, public visits to the facility have grown because of heightened public interest in the Masonic history and unique elements built into the building's design.
