Strategic Initiatives and Program Support

The Strategic Initiatives and Program Support (SIPS) Branch provides central program and policy management support for the Child and Family Services Division and the programs delivered within the Division. The Branch:

  • co-manages the Division's strategic initiatives by collaborating with operational branches within the Division and other key stakeholders;
  • enhances the quality of divisional programs by coordinating or facilitating program evaluations and providing advice to operational branches on incorporating best practices for service delivery;
  • supports and conducts strategic and operational planning at both the Division and program level;
  • ensures fiscal accountability by assisting branches to manage their financial resources and to support their relationships with external agencies;
  • develops recommendations on legislative changes required to support government initiatives and priorities.
