| Program Description |
Designed to support students in their settlement and participation in Canadian Society through the development of their communicative language skills. This program will develop students' language skills through the context of settlement and employment related topics. Program objectives will be met through classroom study, guest speakers, field trips, informational interviews, and language and computer laboratory work. In addition, students will participate in 3 week guided work experience component in the final month of the program. Speaking, reading, writing, listening, job market preparation, guided work experience, settlement topics, computer awareness training. Outcomes for participants can be employment or further language and skill training. |
