| Program Description |
Adolescent Parent Centre is a school offering both junior high & senior high course work (with the option of pursuing matriculation or a general high school diploma). Any teenager who is pregnant may register at APC. A parent may also enroll at APC after the child is born. Students are to attend with their child (child care labs and facilities are present to provide child care and to also ensure that moms may bond with baby and learn child care while at school). A student can attend the school until age 21. Children over the age of 2 years old are no longer permitted to attend school with their parent (suitable arrangements for off-site daycare must be made).
All EIA students at the school receive a bus pass. All students who are an applicant, common-law or spouse on an existing EIA file receive miscellaneous monies monthly while students living with parents on EIA would not receive misc monies but would receive school supplies in the amount based on their grade level. |
