  • Early Childhood Education Unit (Education and Advanced Learning) – The Early Childhood Education Unit provides leadership and support to school divisions in the area of early learning for children up to age 8 years. Through a collaborative approach, the unit promotes developmentally appropriate programming and services that help to prepare children for successful school entry and optimal learning in the early years.

  • Nutrition in Early Learning and Child Care – Early learning and child care providers can influence children’s present and future health by working closely with families and by creating a positive eating environment in their facility. This website includes resources and materials to support and guide child care providers with nutrition-related issues. Resources include the Nutrition Handbook for Early Learning and Child Care, a toll-free early learning and child care nutrition information line, healthy eating posters, child-friendly recipes, and nutrition fact sheets.

Find child care providers close to your home, work, school or en route to your destination. Parents may register with multiple child care providers with just one registration

  • Information for Manitobans with Disabilities – This web-based tool will help you find information on the services available for people with disabilities in Manitoba.   • Child Care Human Resources Sector Council – Website of the Child Care Human Resources Sector Council, an influential voice for the more than 300,000 people in Canada who work in child care. CCHRSC is dedicated to developing a confident, respected and skilled workforce valued for its contribution to early childhood care and education.

  • Manitoba Child Care Association (MCCA) – The Manitoba Child Care Association is a non-profit, membership-funded organization that provides services to child care facilities and individual members throughout the province, including early childhood educators, child care assistants, family child care providers, boards of directors of centres, students, advocates and professionals.

  • Encyclopedia on Early Childhood Development – The Encyclopedia on Early Childhood Development is produced by the Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development. It covers 33 topics related to the psychosocial development of the child, from conception to the age of five, and presents the most up-to-date scientific knowledge.

  • Healthy Smile Happy Child: Prevention of Early Childhood Tooth Decay (Winnipeg Health Region) The Healthy Smile Happy Child Pilot Project is an initiative of the Manitoba Collaborative Project for the Prevention of Early Childhood Tooth Decay.  This link to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority’s website offers a wide variety of information and tools in multiple languages for parents and child care providers about the importance of preventing early childhood tooth decay, from infancy through early childhood.
