Moving Costs

When you are planning to move to a new home, you must tell your worker how you will be moving all your household belongings there. Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) may be able to help you pay for your move. You must discuss your plan with your worker before you move.

EIA may pay for your move where:

  1. your home is unsafe
  2. your family size has changed
  3. rent is lower at the new location
  4. the new location is closer to your job or your training program

You must give your worker a written estimate of how much the move will cost before your worker approves the costs.
