The Online Child Care Registry makes it easier for families to find and apply for licensed child care in Manitoba. It provides information about child care providers, lets you register with as many providers as you want in your neighbourhood and surrounding area, and places your child’s name on the waiting list of all the providers who meet your needs. The information you provide (contact information, child care needs, etc) can also be quickly updated with all the providers at the same time.
The Online Child Care Registry displays provincially licensed centre-based and home-based programs across Manitoba.
Centre-based programs are located in a variety of community settings such as schools, community centres and commercial spaces.
Home-based child care programs operate from the provider’s home. A licence is required by the province if care is provided to more than four children under the age of 12 or to more than two children under the age of two, including the provider’s own children, as required by The Community Child Care Standards Act. PLEASE BE AWARE: Registration on the Online Child Care Registry does not guarantee that you will receive a space by the time child care is required. Waiting times vary at each facility.
