Schools can arrange for programming consultations through Manitoba Education and the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre (MATC). Library resources and Professional Development opportunities are also available.

Adults with autism have unique needs and challenges that can affect their ability to problem solve and live independently. To address these challenges, adults with autism need extra support to live full, productive lives and realize their potential.

Moving Forward in Manitoba

  • more opportunities for adults with ASD to develop life skills
  • access to education and employment training programs
  • help for people with autism to find and keep jobs
  • help for young adults with autism to live independently

How We Can Get There

  • partnerships with the community to develop a life skills networking group for adults with autism
  • autism-specific services within existing educational and employment service programs
    (ex: marketAbilities Program)
  • independent living services that help young adults with autism develop the skills they need to live on their own
