Know your Rights

Every worker in Manitoba has basic rights related to workplace safety and health.  These rights are protected by law.

The right to know
The right to participate
The right to refuse

  • Right to Know information that may affect the safety and health of a person in the workplace;
  • Right to Participate in processes designed to actively identify and eliminate safety and health hazards in the workplace;
  • Right to Refuse work that he or she reasonably believes is dangerous

Remember: Workers carrying out duties or exercising rights as set out under The Workplace Safety and Health Act are protected from discriminatory action.
