Working for the Manitoba Government

Employee Networks and Resource Groups

The following are groups that provide a positive resource for learning, sharing experiences, collaborative work environments and most of all fun!

Aboriginal Employee Directory

The “Anishinabe Wichitiwin” (helping one another network) is a network resource directory for Manitoba civil service Aboriginal employees. This initiative was made at the request of many Aboriginal employees in the Manitoba civil service.

New Professionals Network (NPN)

Whether you are new to government or beginning a new career path within the civil service, the New Professionals Network is here to help you find your way and make connections in the workplace.

Touchstone Group (for Aboriginal employees)

If you are an Aboriginal employee of the Government of Manitoba you should consider joining Touchstone.

Service Quality Partners (SQP)

SQP is committed to supporting a positive and innovative workforce that is reflected in the services provided by staff to clients throughout Manitoba.

Visible Minority Network (VM Net)

The Visible Minority Network is an employee driven networking partner of the Civil Service Commission which celebrates and embraces the diversity of its members whether in race, belief, cause, gender or abilities.  Membership is open not only to employees who are visible minority but to all civil servants who welcome diversity.

Civil Servants with Abilities Network (CSWAN)

Civil Servants with Abilities Network is a network of employees with visible or invisible disabilities, their supervisors and any civil servants interested in supporting and mentoring the career goals, professional development and social inclusion of persons with disabilities in the Manitoba civil service.

We are All Valuable and Equal (WAVE)

WAVE is a network created to foster understanding and inclusion of sexual orientation and gender identity diversity. The network is open to all interested Manitoba government employees, and is part of broader activities to ensure respectful workplaces for all government employees.
