Manitoba’s centralized ICT area (Business Transformation and Technology) has a difficult job of balancing the needs of the entire province, while identifying opportunities to support or replace the aging infrastructure and applications in place. Manitoba has made great efforts to look for opportunities for collaboration in order to improve service delivery within the province. This presentation will identify how they have structured their organization to be responsive to the needs of the departments they serve while looking for unique opportunities to reduce costs through structured governance, planning, legacy system replacement, and an enterprise-wide approach to solutioning and reuse. Come hear about what Manitoba is doing to balance the needs and wants of a province and some of the successes they have had along the way.
