Annual Statistics 2006-2007

The Annual Statistics provides material descriptive of the population of Manitoba. It includes statistics on the operations of the Health Programs such as Healthy Child Development, Home Care, and Mental Health. The utilization of hospital, medical, chiropractic, optometric, oral surgery, Pharmacare, and long term care services by residents of the province during the fiscal year April 1, 2006 - March 31, 2007 are also included. Some material on services pertaining to 2006/2007 and earlier years are included to permit comparison of one year to another.

The Regional Health Authorities have been actively involved in planning for the health service delivery for residents in each region of Manitoba. Where possible, statistical detail is provided by regional health authority.

The tables should be read in conjunction with the notes that precede the data in each Section. As well, the footnotes to the individual tables are important for a better understanding of the data.
