Aeromedical Attendant

To be eligible for provincial licensing at the aeromedical attendant classification in Manitoba, you must submit a Personnel Licence Application complete with appropriate documentation. Carefully follow the instructions as you fill out the form and note:

  • all costs associated with the application process will be the sole responsibility of the applicant
  • original documents must be provided unless otherwise indicated
  • The following documents are required when submitting your application (for additional information click on the underlined document):
    • Proof of age (must be 18 years old) photocopy will be accepted
    • Criminal Records Check (no more than sixty (60) days old)
    • Child Abuse Registry Check (no more than sixty (60) days old)
    • Canadian Aerospace Medicine and Aeromedical Transport Association (CAMATA)
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (HCP) (current certificate)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (current certificate)
    • Current certificate in one of the following:
      • Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS)
      • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
      • Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
      • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
    • One of the following credentials:
      1. Technician-ACP valid licence
               OR
      1. College of Registered Nurses registration (document confirming currency) and one of the following:
    • Critical Care course(document confirming successful completion)
    • Emergency Nursing Course (document confirming successful completion)
    • Experience (verification of at least two years of related nursing experience)

Aeromedical Attendant Renewal

To maintain and renew a licence at the aeromedical attendant classification in Manitoba, you must submit a Renewal Licence Application complete with appropriate documentation. Carefully follow the instructions as you fill out the form and note:

  • all costs associated with the application process will be the sole responsibility of the applicant
  • the following documents are required when submitting your application:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (HCP) (current certificate)
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (current certificate)
    • one of the following:
      • College of Registered Nurses registration (document confirming currency)
      • Technician-ACP licence (copy of licence)

Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant.


Aeromedical Pilot

To be eligible for provincial licensing at the Aeromedical pilot classification in Manitoba, you must submit a Personnel Licence Application complete with appropriate documentation. Carefully follow the instructions as you fill out the form and note:

  • all costs associated with the application process will be the sole responsibility of the applicant
  • original documents must be provided unless otherwise indicated.
  • The following documents are required when submitting your application (for additional information click on the underlined document):

               And one of the following:

    1. Captain
      • Airline Transport licence (current)
      • Endorsement for multi-engine instrument flight
      • Proof of Pilot proficiency check on type of aircraft to be flown
      • Proof of Multi-engine pilot-in-command (minimum 500 hours experience)
      • Aviation Crew Training document (within 2 years immediately preceding application)

        OR

    1. First Officer
      • Commercial Pilot’s licence (current)
      • Proof of Pilot competency check
      • Proof of flight time (minimum 500 experience)

Aeromedical Pilot Renewal

To maintain and renew a licence at the aeromedical pilot classification in Manitoba, you must submit a Renewal Licence Application complete with appropriate documentation. Carefully follow the instructions as you fill out the form and note:

  • all costs associated with the application process will be the sole responsibility of the applicant
  • only an original renewal application will be accepted
  • photocopies of required support documentation will be accepted; the following documents are required when submitting your application:
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support  certificate  (current )
    • One of the following:
      • Airline Transport licence (current) – including medical certificate and PPC
      • Commercial Pilot’s licence (current) – including medical certificate and PPC

Upgrading from Captain to Pilot

To upgrade your first officer licence to captain at the aeromedical pilot classification in Manitoba, you must submit a Upgrade/Renewal Licence Application complete with appropriate documentation. Carefully follow the instructions as you fill out the form and note:

  • all costs associated with the application process will be the sole responsibility of the applicant
  • only original documents will be accepted
  • the following documents are required when submitting your application:
    • Airline Transport licence (current)
    • Endorsement  for multi-engine instrument flight
    • Proof of Pilot proficiency check on type of aircraft to be flown
    • Proof of Multi-engine pilot-in-command  (minimum 500 experience)
    • Aviation Crew Training document (within 2 years immediately preceding application)
