Emergency Treatment Protocols

The Manitoba Emergency Services Medical Advisory Committee (MESMAC) has approved the Emergency Treatment Protocols, commonly referred to as Transfers of Function, for use by Manitoba licensed EMS personnel under their Medical Director’s authority and direction.

Emergency Treatment Guideline G2, Scope and Function, outlines the skills progression for EMS providers.

Most Protocols have undergone change, ranging from minor to significant since their initial approval. All EMS services and personnel should take time to review the Protocols to ensure they are aware of all revisions.
