The Health Innovation Conference is a biennial event presented by MPAN for front line healthcare staff, managers, leaders, board members, patients, and the public – who have an interest in healthcare innovation. The first Health Innovation Conference was held in 2009.
The Health Innovation Conference champions innovative patient-centred care, showcases innovative projects improving patient care in Manitoba, and to provide networking and knowledge exchange opportunities.
Awards recognizing outstanding contributions by individuals and project teams to healthcare innovation and patient-centred care in Manitoba are presented at the conference. These include the Enid Thompson Award for Health Care Innovation, the Mino Bimaadiziwin Innovation Award for Healthy Living, and the Innovation Awards in the categories of Leadership; Tools, Methods and Approaches; Knowledge Transference and Training; Partnership; and Patient-Centered Care.
The next Health Innovation Conference will be held Fall 2017.
