MPAN logo  To receive funding, these projects must improve patient access and the overall patient experience by:

  • improving patient flow through better processes;
  • encouraging partnerships and collaboration between care providers to share expertise;
  • identifying inefficiencies and finding innovative solutions;
  • bringing new, innovative approaches to Manitoba that create or reflect best practices;
  • optimizing the use of human and other resources in the health care system; and
  • improving communications across the health care system.

MPAN receives a budget of $1.5 million annually from Manitoba Health to support innovation in the health care system.  MPAN makes funding recommendations to Manitoba Health and reports to the Minister of Health.
