Pandemic H1N1 Flu Resources for the Health Sector
The Manitoba guidelines and fact sheets below were developed in consultation with the Infection Control and Occupational Health and Safety group as part of Manitoba’s pandemic response plan. These guidelines, as well as those provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada, are meant to help health care providers as they use their professional judgment in the care of patients.
There may be times when a health care provider is unsure what kind of protection is most appropriate. In those cases, the health care provider must make a professional judgment based on the specific clinical situation, the type of patient interaction, the environment of care and other personal protection equipment used.
