Based on Net Family Income

 

"Net income" or "net family income" means an applicant's (and spouse's if applicable) net income from the previous taxation year as reported on line 236 of the person's income tax return and confirmed by Canada Revenue Agency.

  • All applicants with net family incomes of $21,744.00 or less are eligible for the maximum benefit of $81.41
  • All applicants receiving income assistance are eligible for the maximum benefit of $81.41.
  • Applicants with a net family income of $31,999.99 are eligible for the minimum benefit of $10.00.
  • Applicants with net incomes over $31,999 are not eligible.
