Nutrition in Early Learning and Child Care - Welcome to the Nutrition in Early Learning and Child Care website! This website is designed to offer you resources and materials to support nutrition initiatives you are working towards in your facilities and guide you through the food and nutrition challenges you encounter.

Early learning and child care settings can have a positive effect on children’s health by:

  • making sure young children are offered nutritious foods
  • influencing food choices and attitudes
  • supporting children’s growth and development
  • providing resources to help support families

By working closely with families, and focusing on creating a positive eating environment in your facility, you can also have an impact on children’s present and future health.

We hope that the information you find here will help you to take steps toward creating healthy eating environments in your early learning and child care facilities.
