Thousands of students around the province have chosen another graphic anti-smoking ad as the winner of the fourth annual Review and Rate teen smoking prevention program.

More than 23,000 young Manitobans aged 11 to 17 from 290 schools cast ballots in the 2007 program.  This year’s winning ad, Mouth Cancer, graphically depicts the effect tobacco use can have on the human body.

Schools who took part in the program showed students 12 anti-tobacco ads.  Students voted for the ad they thought is the most effective at discouraging tobacco use.  Teachers then led classroom discussions about tobacco use and the effects of smoking.
