Details:

  • Tuesday, December 20, members of the Youth Revolution group in Alexander School organized a bake sale to raise money for Christmas Cheer. Some of the students baked the goods and one made a beautiful Christmas cake which was raffled. The YR students sold their baking during the morning and lunch breaks and raised $161 to donate. Given that there are only 83 students in Alexander, this was very successful.

After lunch, the YR students and the guidance counsellor walked around the village of Alexander singing carols to bring joy and warm regards to all they met. They visited some homes as well as the municipal office and local businesses. Residents were very receptive and said that this was the first time that this had been done. Who knows, it may become a tradition.
