In September 2001, the RPAC was appointed to undertake community consultations in order to gain public and stakeholder input into potential planning policies which better address growth management issues facing the Capital Region. This is the final report of its findings, submitted to the Minister of Manitoba Local Government. The report will be considered by the Province as it develops a policy plan for the Capital Region.

This Discussion Paper outlines principles and some policy options and directions for the region. The paper is addressed to all members of the public.
Planning Manitoba's Capital Region: Next Steps - January 2001
Next Steps: The Province announced that it will create a planning framework for development in the Capital Region. A key element will be a policy plan to address land use and growth management. A primary focus of the policy plan will be issues which cross local boundaries.
Capital Region Review Panel Historical Website
The Capital Region Panel was an independent body which operated in 1998 and 1999. It developed its own web Site which contains its Final Report and recommendations, as well as background information.
