The Manitoba Planning Conference

The Manitoba Planning Conference is an annual event that attracts, on average, 300 delegates from around Manitoba and brings in speakers from across North America to present on a wide range of planning-related issues, innovations and tools.

The conference originated as an annual meeting of planning districts from across Manitoba. As the conference attracted more interest and participation from others involved in planning--including municipalities, building officials, industry, and government departments--it was broadened in scope to include all members of the planning community and was re-branded as the Manitoba Planning Conference.

Each year a different community hosts the conference and provides coordination in partnership with: the Association of Manitoba Municipalities, the Manitoba Building Officials Association, the Manitoba Professional Planners Institute, the University of Manitoba department of City Planning, and Manitoba Local Government.
