Winnipeg Community Infrastructure Program

The Winnipeg Community Infrastructure Program will provide grants to support the rehabilitation, improvement or expansion of “not-for-profit” or City-owned existing community recreation facilities within the City of Winnipeg.
The Winnipeg Community Infrastructure Program is a $7.5M program over three years. Funding is application based.
Eligible projects involve rehabilitation, improvement, or expansion of existing community infrastructure assets. Athletic facilities, community centres, public use areas, parks and cultural facilities may qualify under this program.
The types of projects that may qualify for support include:
  • Critical repairs/physical improvements of existing facilities;
  • Building improvements to enhance accessibility;
  • Addition of new and improved amenities to existing facilities;
  • Upgrades to existing facilities that improve wellness opportunities.
