Pre-Professional Programs

Pre-professional Programs at Canadian Mennonite University for the 2002-03 Academic Year

A year or more of study at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) could prepare a student to meet the entrance requirements for degree programs of professional faculties or schools at various universities. The following are possible professional areas of study for which one could prepare at CMU:

  • Agriculture
  • Education
  • Human Ecology
  • Law
  • Medicine
  • Medical Rehabilitation
  • Nursing
  • Physical Education and Recreation Studies
  • Social Work

The following pages provide examples to illustrate the possible contents of such pre-professional programs for students who wish to apply for admission to a professional school or faculty at the University of Manitoba or the University of Winnipeg . Possibilities similar to those outlined below exist for students who intend to pursue studies at another university. However, it is important that the student inquire about admission and program requirements at the professional school being considered and that the student work with the Assistant Dean at CMU to construct a program of studies at CMU that will achieve the student's objectives.
