International Students

Pick Your Program: Distance Learning

Distance learning is a method of study that allows students to complete courses through correspondence or over the internet. As an international student, once you have arrived in Manitoba, you may be able to take distance learning courses depending on your school’s policies. Some post-secondary institutions may allow you to complete courses while you are outside of Manitoba. Contact the post-secondary institutions you are interested in attending to find out more about their distance learning courses.

High School Distance Learning Courses

Manitoba recognizes that accessibility and flexibility are important when delivering quality education that meets the needs of students, teachers, and school divisions, regardless of geographic location. A number of Manitoba's high-quality, grade 9 to 12 courses are available through distance learning within Manitoba. You can choose from a range of print-based (Independent Study Option) or on-line courses (Web-based Courses). Visit the Distance Learning Website for information on courses as well as the eligibility requirements for both these distance learning options.
