International Students

Pick your program: Language Schools

Ludmilla Ciucci BorgesThe ability to connect and communicate in multiple languages can invite new and exciting opportunities into your life. Manitoba institutions offer a number of first-rate language programs and supports. English as an Additional Language (EAL) and French as an Additional Language (FAL) courses are available to help you improve your language skills for work, study or personal interest.  Below you will find a table that describes what type of language programs and supports each institution offers.

As an international student, you should be aware that you can only attend language schools and programs designated by Manitoba. This ensures compliance with study permit conditions and protects you under the International Education Act.

For more information on the International Education Act, visit our International Education Act webpage.

The following language schools and programs have been designated by Manitoba to accept international students.

Visit Canada’s Immigration and Citizenship webpage for a complete list of Manitoba’s Designated Learning Institutions.
