Providence Distinctives:
"I am from a city close to Beijing in China . I wanted to learn English and was
introduced to Providence through a family friend. When I came to Canada, I was
very homesick and lonely, but God was very merciful to me and gave me many friends
here. I realized how much God cared for me and this made me really want to know
Him. I began asking a lot of questions and decided to commit my life to Him. I
now know there is a God who loves me, and I want to know much more about Him! What
I appreciate most about Providence College are the people here. The friends I've
made here are always interested in me and make me feel welcome. Everyone, including
students, faculty, and staff, makes me feel important in this community. I've had
many opportunities to minister while at Providence, including volunteering at
Love Lives Here, organizing various international student activities, and being
a part of the mime troupe, Speechless. I'm so thankful that I've come to Providence
, and more importantly, I'm so thankful that I've found God at Providence ."--
B.A. Intercultural Studies Major (TESOL Track) Student
" Providence College has been a wonderful place for me to grow in all aspects
of my life. The Church Ministries Program has laid a strong foundation of ministry
training in my life in order for me to become effective in the ministry of Jesus
Christ. This program challenged my understanding of the Bible and provoked my beliefs
in order to create a strong foundation of the Christian faith. The staff and faculty
are very helpful and sincere to see the growth of their students."-- Susan Wenzel
