  • Location: A 23-acre campus in Winnipeg, Manitoba
  • Accommodation Options: Campus Residence
  • Health Insurance Requirement: Health insurance is included in the Student's tuition and is arranged by the school.
  • Student Population: There are 830 students enroled for the 2010-2011 school and approximately 17 of those students are International students.
  • Study Periods: SJR offers co-educational Boarding starting at Grade 8 and continues to Grade 12. Our School is not on a semester system, therefore students can only start school in September of each year and must study for a minimum of one year.

  • We provide ESL Support for students with an intermediate level of English competency (both written and oral). We do not accept students at a beginner level of English proficiency.

Program Details

SJR's academic program exceeds the Manitoba provincial curriculum requirements. Our rigorous University preparatory program includes an accelerated Math program, Advanced Placement and University Courses.

International Student Fees

Room, Board and Tuition: $40,740*

*Fees are based on the 2010-2011 school year and may be subject to change in February of each year.

Initial Admissions Fee (new students only - one time fee): A non-refundable fee of $1500.

Additional costs may include, but are not limited to: uniforms, school trips, hockey registration fee, private music lessons, yearbook, additional boarding costs (i.e. dry cleaning, long distance charges, taxis, drugstore purchases, etc.), weekly allowances distributed to boarding students, tuition refund insurance, and drivers education.

Enrolment Information

Students wishing to apply to St. John's-Ravenscourt School should contact the Admissions Department at admissions@sjr.mb.ca to request an admissions package. Applicants must complete the enclosed application form and return it along with a CDN$125 application fee and certified copies of their most recent academic reports. Once the application has been received, the School will arrange for the student to write an entrance test. If the student is accepted, fees are due immediately to expedite the student VISA process.
