Key Information

  • Location: Sunrise School Division is located in the quiet and secure residential, farming, and recreational area of Eastern Manitoba.
  • Accommodation Options: Homestay
  • Health Insurance Requirements: All students must register for the health insurance offered by our program. Our Division's International Student Program department makes all arrangements for this insurance
  • Student Population: Total enrollment of 5500 students. Total International Student enrollment of 30 students.
  • Study Period:
    • Full School Year (10 months - 2 semesters) or Half Year (5 months - 1 semester). Semesters begin on September 1st and February 1st .
    • International Students can enroll in E.S.L. and T.O.E.F.L. preparation courses and register on the first of each month.
    • Summer Programs (4 weeks) take place during the last 2 weeks of July and the first 2 weeks of August.

  • Sunrise schools are closely linked to local Universities and other foreign University systems.

Program Details:

The Manitoba Curriculum is offered by all our schools. Five high schools offer a wide variety of advanced compulsory and non-compulsory credit courses. Extensive course offerings include: Sciences, Marine Biology, Languages, Mathematics, Computer Technology, Band, Business, Art, and Talent Development.

  • Intensive E.S.L. programs are offered for international students of all ages.
  • T.O.E.F.L. preparation is offered at four (4) Adult Centres.

Tuition and Fees

Application Fee = $100.00

Tuition Fee = $10,000.00 (for 2 semesters - 1 year) for students requiring Homestay.

$9,000.00 (for 2 semesters) for students not requiring Homestay

$5,000.00 (for 1 semester - Half year)

Homestay Fee = $550.00 per month

Medical Insurance = $500.00 per year
