Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business Immigration (MPNP-B)
New! Notice of Changes to the MPNP-B
Please be advised that the following changes are being made to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business, effective July 1, 2007:
1) Applicants will be required to have a minimum personal net worth of CDN $350,000.
2) There are changes to the Net Worth documentation required in the “Guide to Making an Exploratory Visit to Manitoba (pdf 89 KB)”.
3) Applicants will be required to submit a “Summary of Business Intent” with their application for Permanent Residency. This replaces the former Business Proposal.
4) Applicants with a net worth of CDN$500,000 or less, will be required to fill out Funds Required Upon Arrival to Manitoba, Other Income, Living Expenses and Relocation Cost Estimates. It will be important that Applicants coming for an exploratory visit research this information while in Manitoba, as it will be discussed during their interview with the immigration officer.
5) The “Use of Representative,” Form IMM 5476 must be submitted with the original exploratory visit information, if applicable.
6) Applicants Requiring Letters of Invitation:
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business (MPNP-B) will be conducting a preliminary pre-screening of all submitted documentation to ensure information received meets the criteria of the MPNP-B. Eligibility to obtain Invitation Letters from the MPNP-B will be determined based on the program requirements and the information received.
The MPNP-B reserves the right to decline applicants that do not meet the minimum basic requirements of the MPNP-B. In order to avoid being refused due to insufficient documentation, please ensure that all required documentation is submitted as outlined in the “Guide to Making an Exploratory Visit to Manitoba”.
For Chinese Applicants Only: Copy of Chinese company documents, including business license, 3 years’ financial statements, 3 years’ tax documents, capital verification report (if available), will be required. All financial information must be translated into English, notarized, and all dollar amounts must be shown in Canadian dollars.
7) Federal Application Process: Effective immediately, all MPNP-B Applicants (or their representatives) are required to forward the originals of their approved MPNP-B applications and appropriate processing fees directly to the Canadian Visa Office that serves their area.
