Manitoba's Mineral Resources

In 2002 and 2003, the Government of Manitoba held public consultations on the province’s mining and petroleum industries to help guide future planning on policy and administrative matters. A four-member task group conducted the consultations to obtain public input on the state of the mineral and petroleum industries and ways to strengthen and promote sustainability.  The Mining Task Force document below includes an overview of the task force, the public submissions, background papers on the metallic, petroleum and aggregate sectors, and a final report with recommendations.
