Manitoba Immigration and Multiculturalism drives our province's economic and social growth by promoting the Province as an immigration destination of choice for skilled workers and entrepreneurs selected for permanent residency through our Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, and assisting them as they integrate into our labour market, our business world and our communities.

The department's cornerstone is the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, managed in partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada, through the provisions of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Canada-Manitoba Immigration Agreement, and supported by Manitoba Start, our highly successful economic integration service. Manitoba Immigration and Multiculturalism provides leadership on international qualifications recognition through the Office of the Manitoba Fairness Commissioner, and our ongoing role in ensuring the highest standard of adult language training and integration services for immigrant newcomers throughout the province. The department also supports our increasing diversity and positive intercultural relations as defined by the Multiculturalism Act, through the work of the Multiculturalism Secretariat.
