Manitoba-Canada Presentation: English | Korean | Mandarin
A main requirement of the MPNP-B is that the immigrant must invest in a business in Manitoba and undertake an active role in management of the business. To further emphasize this point, a Cash deposit of $75,000.00 CAD is required by all approved applicants under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program of Business Immigrants (MPNP-B).
When an applicant has been approved under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business Immigrants (MPNP-B), a letter of approval is sent to the applicant (and consultant or lawyer if applicable). The letter contains a cash deposit agreement (contract) outlining the requirements of the MPNP-B and is to be signed and dated by the applicant. Federal documents to be completed for the applicable embassy and the instructions for the applicant to wire their cash deposit in the amount of $75,000.00 CAD for the MPNP-B.
This cash deposit is refundable upon completion of the requirements of the Cash Deposit Agreement (contract) with MPNP-B. The funds will be held by Manitoba Industry, Economic Development and Mines (MPNP-B) for a period of two years from the date of landing, usually giving the immigrant adequate time to establish a business. Extensions will be considered on a case by case basis.
No interest will be paid on the deposit. Interest earned on deposits is used to fund program resources, including the establishment of a Business Settlement office.
