Information Synopsis of Manitoba's
August 14, 2002 Lease Sale

The results of competitive bidding on August 14, 2002 for Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of Industry, Economic Development and Mines, resulted in a total of $ 101,658.46.00 being added to provincial revenue.
 
Seven of the ten lease parcels offered, covering 768 hectares (1920 acres), were sold for a bonus amount totaling $96,170.46.00.  The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $125.22 ($50.09 per acre).  The average bonus at the last sale held 
 
Canadian Landmaster Resource Services Ltd. paid the highest price per hectare for a parcel located in the Waskada area.  The firm paid $211.77 per hectare ($84.71 per acre) as a tender bonus.
 
This is the third of four sales scheduled for 2002.
