Information Synopsis of Manitoba's
February 13, 2002 Lease Sale
The results of competitive bidding on February 13, 2002 for
Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of
Industry, Economic Development and Mines, resulted in a total of $5,469.00
being added to provincial revenue.

Two of the three lease parcels offered, covering 96 hectares
(240 acres), were sold for a bonus amount totaling $4,333.00.
The average price per hectare for lease parcels sold was $45.14
($18.06 per acre). The average bonus at the last sale held
November 14, 2001 was $150.53 ($60.21 per acre). |
Rideau Petroleums Ltd. paid the highest price per hectare for a
parcel located in the Daly Field area. The firm paid $58.50 per
hectare ($23.40 per acre) as a tender bonus.

This is the first of four sales scheduled for 2002.

The next sale will be held on May 22, 2002. The deadline for
posting requests is February 15, 2002. |
