Information Synopsis of Manitoba's
February 11, 2004 Lease Sale
The results of competitive bidding on February 11, 2004 for
Crown oil and gas rights which was offered by the Department of
Industry, Economic Development and Mines, resulted in a total
of $10,672.00 being added to provincial revenue.

The one lease parcel offered, covering 64 hectares (160 acres)
for the parcel located in the Kirkella Field area, was sold for
a bonus amount totaling $10,048.00.
|
Scott Land & Lease Ltd. paid the highest price per hectare. The
firm paid $157.00 per hectare ($62.80 per acre) as a tender
bonus. The average bonus at the last sale held November 12,
2003 was $61.93 ($24.77 per acre).

This is the first of four sales scheduled for 2004.
|

The next sale will be held on May 12, 2004. The deadline for
posting requests is February 13, 2004. |
