How to Get More Training to Qualify for Work

Over the estimated six-year life of the project, there will be jobs for several hundred people. In the first two years, employers will be hiring up to 150 workers with general road building and camp construction skills. You will need to determine when to fill out a registration as project employers may NOT need people with specific trade skills until later on in the construction cycle of the project.

If you want to gain experience in a trade, or work towards becoming a certified journeyperson, additional skills training would improve your eligibility for work on the Wuskwatim project. Information on apprenticeship trades training and how to become a certified journeyperson is available online.
