There is also information for teachers & prospective teachers, for volunteers, as well as for businesses and organizations concerned with immigrants.

Students
The Students section explains the free “English as an Additional Language” classes that Manitoba provides to adult immigrants. Who can take the classes? Where? At what level should you start?

Parents
Immigrant children are taught English in regular public schools.

Employers
This section explains the programs available to improve the language skills of immigrant employees.

Teachers & prospective teachers
Adult EAL teachers will find resources to support their development.

Volunteers
Here we list resources to help volunteers develop their skills.

MIIP
Through the Manitoba Immigrant Integration Program the province supports programs that provide Adult EAL services.
