Manitoba PNP offers 'fast track to permanent residency'

(WINNIPEG - April 25) Canada's new campaign to help international students find career employment is making headlines around the globe.

Authoritative Asian newsites are reporting positively on the improvements announced by Citizenship and Immigration Canada Minister Diane Finlay.

Two main changes in Canadian announcement

  • Graduates can obtain an "open" post-graduate work permit with no restrictions on the type of work and no prerequisite job offer
  • The duration of the post-graduate work permit has been increased to three years. In some provinces it was only one.

Manitoba offers international students priority assessment

  • After you graduate the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program promises "priority assessment" for students who wish to stay and work here as permit residents.
