Find out if an Act is in force
or has been amended?

Most Acts come into force on the day they receive Royal Assent.  But some come into force on a specified date or on a day to be fixed by proclamation.  Usually the last section of an Act states when it is to come into force.

Acts that are in force are published on the Manitoba Laws Website The consolidated version of an Act includes all amendments that are in force as of the date indicated.

If an act or part of an Act is to come into force on proclamation, it will be noted in the proclamation table.  If it has been proclaimed in force, the date that it came into force will be noted in the table.
