Ms. Marianne Cerilli (Radisson): Madam Speaker, I beg to present the petition of Ken Hammersley, Lois Sterling, Tim Yaken and others praying that the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba go on record requesting the Premier (Mr. Filmon) to consider maintaining 24-hour access to emergency health care at Concordia Hospital, as was promised in the 1995 general election.
Liquor Store Closure--
Winnipegosis
Ms. Rosann Wowchuk (Swan River): Madam Speaker, I beg to present the petition of Jeannette Maniel, Michael Lynn, Ruth Carlson and others praying that the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba may be pleased to request that the Manitoba government instruct the Manitoba Liquor Commission to reverse the decision to close the Winnipegosis liquor store.

Mr. Kevin Lamoureux (Inkster): Madam Speaker, I beg to present the petition of James Pede, Lloyd Wozny, Lorraine Wozny and others urging the Minister of Health (Mr. McCrae) to consider making a commitment to the people of Manitoba that emergency health care services in Winnipeg's five community hospitals will remain open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Mr. Gary Kowalski (The Maples): Madam Speaker, I beg to present the petition of Eleanor Duguid, Mandy Klassen, Harold Klassen and others urging the Minister of Health (Mr. McCrae) to consider making a commitment to the people of Manitoba that emergency health care services in Winnipeg's five community hospitals will remain open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Herrera, Felizardo Herrera and Ernesto Guevara and others praying that the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba request that the Government of Canada cancel fee increases and instead institute policies that will encourage immigration to Manitoba.

THAT residents of Winnipeg and surrounding communities depend on emergency service at these community hospitals.
WHEREFORE your petitioners humbly pray that the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba go on record requesting the Premier to consider maintaining 24-hour access to emergency health care at community hospitals in Winnipeg as was promised in the 1995 general election.

WHEREAS the MLCC store has been a part of our community for many years, and
WHEREAS this store provides a good-paying job for the community, and
WHEREAS the MLCC rents a building to provide this service, and
WHEREAS the MLCC store has a much more varied selection of products than any private vendor, and
WHEREAS this store is convenient for all our residents, including our summer tourist trade, and
WHEREAS the MLCC employee is very careful to prevent sales to minors,
WHEREFORE your petitioners humbly pray that the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba may be pleased to request that the Manitoba government instruct the MLCC to reverse the decision to close the Winnipegosis liquor store.
